Let's reactivate the community's shops for short distances.
Let's revive the community of Grünenplan, bringing it back to life as a recreational area and attraction for spa and hiking guests.
In this time, when the internet is devouring virtually all owner-operated retail businesses and multinational department store chains are sucking the remaining vitality and energy out of small towns, we at Marcus Aurelius Park e.G. are sending a clear signal that things can be better.
We are reactivating and optimizing the economic life of a small town through intelligent strategies for "self-sufficiency" of the town without risking the operators of previously existing businesses. Further details will be published upon request.
The project will begin with the renovation of the former pharmacy, which is prohibited from reopening due to legal regulations and spatial design. A barrier-free café and bistro will be built here, covering the entire floor and featuring outdoor terraces. In the basement, the in-house pastry shop will produce fresh cakes and tortes, which will also be available for takeaway. The café will have many attractions, including live music, talk shows, and much more.
A new medical care center (MVZ) will open in the former Schlecker/Peek supermarket. A team from various medical faculties will provide general and specialist medical care 6 days a week.
The services are listed in the "Services" tab.
Many stores are empty or are openly considering closing.
In the near future, we will offer all operators a modern approach to retain existing stores and reopen closed ones.
